Homeware Product Care Guide

Taking good care of your homeware products not only helps maintain its appearance but also ensures its longevity. Below you’ll find general care instructions for our most common product categories.

Textiles (Cushions, Throws, Table Linens)

• Washing: Most items are machine washable on a gentle cycle at 30°C. Always check the label for specific guidance.
  
• Drying: Air dry where possible. Avoid tumble drying unless specified.
• Ironing: Use a low to medium heat setting. Avoid ironing directly on prints or embroidery.

Ceramics & Stoneware

• Cleaning: Wash by hand using warm soapy water and a soft cloth. Avoid abrasive scrubbers.
• Dishwasher: Unless marked as dishwasher-safe, we recommend hand washing to preserve the finish.
• Microwave Use: Only use in microwaves if clearly stated as microwave-safe.

Glassware

• Cleaning: Hand wash with care to avoid scratches. Use a mild detergent and a non-abrasive cloth.
• Temperature Changes: Avoid sudden temperature changes (e.g., hot to cold water) as this can cause cracking.

Wooden Items (Trays, Chopping Boards, etc)

• Cleaning: Wipe with a damp cloth and dry immediately. Avoid soaking or submerging in water.
• Maintenance: Periodically apply a food-safe mineral oil or beeswax to maintain the wood’s condition.
• Storage: Keep away from direct sunlight or heat sources to prevent warping or fading

Metal (Candle Holders, Decorative Items)

• Cleaning: Use a soft cloth to clean. For tarnished items, use a non-abrasive polish suitable for the specific metal type.
• Care: Avoid prolonged exposure to moisture and dry thoroughly after cleaning.

Mirrors & Frames

• Cleaning: Use a glass cleaner or a 50/50 water and vinegar solution with a microfibre cloth. Avoid spraying directly onto the mirror—spray onto the cloth instead.
• Handling: Handle with care to avoid chips or cracks, and use secure fittings when mounting on walls.

Candles & Home Fragrance

• Usage: Trim the wick to 5mm before each use.
• Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to preserve scent and shape.

Never leave a burning candle unattended. Burn candles out of reach of children & pets. Do not move whilst lit or if wax is molten. Place on a flat, level, heat-resistant surface away from other sources of heat & out of draughts.
